First off let me say first and foremost; If things look "odd" when you visit FraggedNation today, please do a full page refresh (typically CTRL+F5) as a lot of images have changed.

This last round of updates has way too many changes to list, but amongst the more important:

1. Trophies have been added back to the Ladder Standings Pages.
2. Sanctioned servers have been added back to the Ladder Standings pages, located just underneath the Shout box.
3. A new link to "Report Abuse" has been added to the top of each shoutbox. This will help us keep your shoutboxes clean and family friendly! ...

It is more than my pleasure to announce to you that we have a new Admin to add to UT99. He has been a Head Admin already for more than a year, and has always been available to help out when ever it was needed or asked of him. He has also proven himself to be more than a trustworthy staff member. He has a vast knowledge of the entire UT99 division, and I am sure that he will do great things with this new position.

Please help me welcome {CZS}D1 as our new Game Director for UT99!!! Congratulations D1....I'm sure you will do an awesome job

Super Smash Brothers Brawl added, plus other changes!

Just a few points of interest here for all you dedicated fraggers out there.

We had a request for Super Smash Brothers Brawl (Wii) so we've added that to our lineup of games. Hopefully we'll see some competition evolve for that game, as it seems to be picking up some momentum in the competitive online arena!

Also we've implemented a Forum Ranking system. Where previously just the total posts where displayed, now will be a progress bar with a specific rank associated based on forum participation. Very soon you'll be able to add Kudos (or Blames) to forum posts that will increase/decrease the users forum rank. Once that is implemented, the forum rank will play a bigger part in the overall reputation calculation....

So for several months now, we have been "grooming" Duvina to move into a Global position here with many "less than awesome" tasks. We have tasked her with several policy refinements, and a whole lot of general PR policing to which she has attacked with incredible ferver.

On top of that, she has also been a loyal and unwaivering Forum Police member, and Game Admin, for quite some time. Even in spite of being openly attacked for enforcing forum policies, has stuck to her guns and continued to make our forums a safe and comfortable place for all to visit....

17.1 If a team has a issue with their ladder match that they would like an admin to address they can submit a trouble ticket. Teams have 5 days from the reporting of their match to submit a trouble ticket for admin review. If a trouble ticket is submitted after 5 days from the reporting of the match the trouble ticket will not be reviewed. ...

"New since Last Visit" update

A tweak has been implemented that should help alleviate some confusion about the "New since last visit" feature of the forums. Previously the "last visit" was linked to the actual account log-in time; If your account is set to auto-login, this meant as soon as you visited the site.

The problem is, that if you did not check the forums and closed the browser, the "last login" is then reset to the new login time when the new browser window is opened.

This behaviour was expected and intentional, however I figured it beneficial to separate visiting the forums, vs just visiting the site....

Login persistence

Just wanted to let everyone know that there is a new option available in the Edit Profile section called "Stay Logged In". This seemed to be more appropriate rather than using a cookie to track this preference. Everyone has been defaulted to "Yes" as that's the most common, however it can be turned off at any time from the edit profile screen.

Those of you who were experiencing problems with remaining logged in should no longer have any issues. If you do, it may just require a browser re-start to get everything back in line for you....

FN as standardize the ELO point penalty system for all ladders that use the ELO. This is the penalty system we already use for UT2K4 so you will not see any changes. The new system is as follows:

The following is the Penalty point System to be used for all ELO Point System scored ladders:

1st occurrence: Team Warning
2nd occurrence: 5pt Team Penalty
3rd occurrence: 10pt Team Penalty (plus the original 5pt = 15pt total)
4th occurrence: 15pt Team penatly (plus the previous 15pt = 30pts Total)
5th occurrence: Instant Team Forfeit (Match Ends Then)...

You may or maynot have been hit yet but there is a few massive exploits that are being used to hack UT3 and UT2k4 servers, the problem is wide spread and if you haven't already figured out whats going on you can take a looke here:

Serverlist Cleanup

Attention All Quake III Players

I have cleaned up the server list. This means if a server is not attached to a ladder, it's gone.

This weekend, I will be checking all servers that are attached to a ladder. If I can NOT connect to it, it will be deleted.

What this means to you -- If you are a HA, you have to make sure there are servers that players can select when they make a challenge.

Server Owners, if you need a server added, contact the admin for the ladder with the following information:

First of all I'd like to thank hXc_chic for everything that she has done for UT99 and FN over the years.....she hasn't been around much lately as life has kept her busy. So I've had a talk with chic and she agrees that it is time for her to step down as a Game Admin for UT99. For those of you that know chic may not know that she got married last December, and she is now expecting her first child!! She is due in November, which is going to keep her even busier than she has already been. Congratulations and Good Luck chic and keep in mind that you are always more than welcomed to come back! ...

Season 2 maps bundled

By *TNT*Krazy's request i have bundled all maps togheter. This is, i think, a good idea.

Here is the link: Maps
NOTE: this is a ~50Mb .rar archive, make sure you have a good bandwidth and winrar to uncompress it.

I have also include the mutator that changes maps into telefrag maps. It's included in the system folder. Each folder represent one specific folder in the UT base directory (on my computer its c:Unreal Tournament) so you just need to transfer everything to the appropriate folder.

If you get doubles from different size, you may wanna make a backup of your actual one before replacing it with one from the package. ...

Hi guys and gals

One of the HA's has brought to my attention some concerns about ref's being abused and asked for my help to clarify the issue. I know that recently there has been some tension and one of these areas of tension seems to be with calls refs make. Now I know that in a match it can be really frustrating when a ref makes a call that you disagree with. Our natural inclination is often to dispute the call. I also understand that sometimes refs miss calls and can even make a bad calls. I speak from experience because I used to be a camper ladder player, ref and, later an HA. ...

Another flawless season has been recorded here on the 1v1 ladder. This season Karma|VSC| won with a 11/0 record and 1217 points. Well deserved Karma


Second place goes to aceM with a 11/1 record and 1203 points. very well played aceM.


Third place goes to {SS}44Magnum with a 10/5 record and 1078 points. Nicely done!

I hope to see everyone back for the next season and maybe bring in some new blood.

Thanx everyone for helping make this ladder one of the most active here on fn. I look forward to another great season starting on November 1st....

I just realized that ladder has be closed for a while! (wondered why i was getting no forfeits request! lol)

So i decided to start it back FRIDAY 24TH and see if we can get another cool season as the 1st was!

Season will run till december 23th, coz i dont want it overlay with christmas...

ok yall, I've updated the active roster to reflect those members who have been active in the last week.

I've demoted Target, n3wD, and Spawn to just members. Just means they have access to the clan forum and can sport the tags and if they wanna become active again and compete, they just pm me and if there's a slot open, I'll add them to the "Clan Owners".

I'd like to start recruiting in the next 2 weeks, so if anyone's interested, please PM me if there's someone that has requested to join RnR or if there's someone that isn't in a clan already and we should try to recruit.
